In order to comply with the quality standards of the automotive industry, an authorised workshop must undergo a regular audit - the tool inventory is also randomly checked for completeness and proper condition.

In some cases, a wide variety of tools are required for each vehicle. If an authorised workshop also specialises in e-mobility or supersport models, the number of special tools to be kept in stock increases.

SEPP.One® is the new and further development of established software that has been on the market for over 15 years. The new software basis is based on the latest technologies and offers a wide range of options for enhancements.

All existing customers undergo a migration process in which the data is brought up to date and consistent. This allows thousands of authorised workshops to manage several million tools.

In order to optimise the use of available storage space, modern companies like to rely on automated storage and retrieval systems, so-called Smart Cabinet or Vertical Lift Modules. This allows a large number of tools of different sizes and weights to be stored in a very small space. Tools can be stored and retrieved in the shortest possible time via an operating console, which is connected to SEPP.One® via an interface.

Thanks to close collaboration with the SEPPTOOLS project team from the Munich area, it was possible to develop a manufacturer-independent tool management software that is tailored to processes in vehicle workshops and car dealerships. Central master data maintenance ensures that authorised workshops can create and manage their digital inventory from a clean, comprehensive catalogue of special tools. With SEPP.One®, contract partners are optimally prepared for the annual audit by car manufacturers.
