The starting point: a legacy application without documentation
Mangeno Q+ supports quality management in medical practices and pharmacies. When we took over the existing Ruby on Rails application, around 200,000 lines of source code had to be understood without documentation or a handover. The task was to stabilize this established system and make further development possible.

Our approach: reverse engineering and gradual modernization
The development of Mangeno Q+ began with a demanding brief. Our team took over a large legacy Ruby on Rails application with around 200,000 lines of source code, completely without handover or documentation. Through careful analysis, structured reverse engineering, and gradual modernization, we stabilized, expanded, and further developed the system.
The result: continuous development since 2018
As an inspection and QM tool, Mangeno Q+ is designed for medical practices and other healthcare providers. It breaks quality management processes down into small tasks and distributes them efficiently among multiple employees. Internal audits are automated, divided into manageable monthly work packages, and reliably controlled through integrated reminder systems. At the same time, the system monitors maintenance intervals for all registered devices.
Our collaboration has continued since 2018. The existing application became the basis for ongoing maintenance and development. Mangeno Q+ demonstrates how a software takeover can lead to gradual modernization while preserving the product's established functions.
