Digital ecosystem for the vehicle

Porsche Connect is Porsche's digital ecosystem that seamlessly links the vehicle, smartphone, and online services to create an intuitive, modern user experience. For Auto Shanghai 2023, we developed a progressive web app that brings this digital interior to life. The application not only showcases the features of Porsche Connect through clear, engaging content, but also makes them directly tangible through interactive elements. Visitors at the exhibition were able to explore how the vehicle can be digitally controlled, personalized, and enhanced—gaining a vivid impression of how technology and driving pleasure come together to form a holistic Porsche experience.

Insight into development

The resulting web app is not just a digital catalog; it offers interactive experiences and games, such as a virtual race track. Here, users can find information about effective driving in a Porsche. It allows them to experience the Porsche from the driver's and passenger's perspective. The passenger view shows how movies can be watched on the new passenger display without distracting the driver. But that's not all! With the "My Porsche" app, you can control the ambient lighting, sound, and air conditioning in the interior. Our result was implemented within an implementation sprint of just four weeks and realized by a team of six developers.

Technically, we implemented the project on a Progressive Web App (PWA) based on React and Vite. The games were implemented using PixiJS to ensure optimal performance. The entire project is hosted on AWS Cloud Hosting to ensure a fast and secure user experience.
