Request of the customer
The Nordkirche app supports tourists in their search for Protestant churches in northern Germany. It is a progressive web app (PWA) that can also be downloaded from the app store and uses the Elm programming language for implementation.
This is how we implemented it
The Nordkirche app uses the Nordkirche database and enables access to opening hours, event calendars and church service times via a special connection. A combination of Elm for the front end and content management as well as Elixir and the Phoenix web server for the entire offer management in the back end was chosen for the development of the Nordkirche app.
Our project result
The Nordkirche app is a progressive web app (PWA) and can also be downloaded from the Apple and Google app stores. The app offers a desktop version and can be used for both operating systems thanks to the use of web technologies. Changes to the PWA can be made without having to be checked again by Apple and Google. The Nordkirche app is implemented using the Elm programming language.
