Porsche Connect_
Interactive PWA for the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition 2023
Request of the customer
What innovations have we developed for Auto Shanghai 2023? We have developed a progressive web app to bring the digital inner workings of Porsche to life through informative content and interactive elements. The best thing about it? This app works and looks like a native app, but it can be used directly via the browser without installation from the App Store or Google Play Store.
This is how we implemented it
Technically, we implemented the project on a progressive web app (PWA) based on React and Vite. The games were realised using PixiJS to ensure optimal performance. The entire project is hosted on AWS Cloudhosting to ensure a fast and secure user experience.
Our project result
The resulting web app is not just a digital catalogue, there are interactive experiences and games, such as a virtual race track. Here the user receives information about effective driving in a Porsche. It is possible to experience the Porsche from the perspective of the driver and co-driver. The passenger's view shows how films can be watched on the new passenger display without distracting the driver. But that's not all! The "My Porsche" app gives you control over the ambient lighting, sound and air conditioning in the interior. Our result was implemented within a sprint of just four weeks and realised by a team of six developers.
Janina from the development team says: "Despite the short time, all team members pulled together, supported each other and gave their all. The various components were realised with motivation and determination. We are proud to have realised such a great project as a team in such a short space of time."Tech
