Insight into development

The blog is based on the WordPress content management system, which we chose as a flexible foundation for editorial work. To ensure maximum individuality and meet OTTO's specific requirements, we developed a completely customized theme that is both technically high-performing and consistent with the brand's design.

One of the blog's special highlights is the dynamic integration of OTTO products via the OTTO Consumer API, which allows editorial content to be linked directly to matching items from the product range. This creates a seamless transition between inspiration and purchase decision, making the blog particularly relevant and interactive for users.

A key focus was also on the seamless integration of the blog into the existing OTTO infrastructure, including internal systems, caching mechanisms, and tracking setups. At the same time, the highest security standards were taken into account—from strict role and rights management to secure authentication processes, regular security checks, and automated updates. The result is a reliable, scalable system that meets both the editorial team's requirements and the company's high technical standards.
